Gift Guide: For Her

DETAILS | striped phone case (under $25!) / turquoise earrings / boots (25% off!) / black snowflake PJs / lip gloss (gift with purchase!) / Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream perfume / water bottle / 2016 planner / sweater pullover /

Today I'm sharing a guide to some fun gifts for the ladies in your life. Whether that's a sister, best friend, mom, daughter, or you want to give a little hint to someone else about a gift YOU want, I have you covered today.

I'm in need of a new perfume, so I did the work for you and found my favorite perfume in the store the other day. I just love this Daisy Dream by Marc Jacobs! I've also included my favorite lip gloss ever. It's shiny, long lasting and not sticky! (I should do a commercial for them...) My mom (I mean "Santa") always gets us PJ's, so I found a few of my favorite pairs. Those snowflakes are adorable and the material seems extra cozy!

Here are some more gift ideas:

Last year I got these matte navy Hunter Boots and I love them! They're great in rain (clearly!) and snow, too!
For those engaged or married gals out there, I am obsessed with these Mrs. Boxes! They're the prettiest ring boxes to keep an eye on your bling :)

I love my blanket scarf and think it's a great gift idea!

I also rounded up some gifts UNDER $25 for the girls:

A lot of these items are on MY Christmas wish list. What's on yours?! I can't believe Thanksgiving is TOMORROW! Enjoy your day:)

Gift Guide: Snow Bunny

DETAILSgreen anorack jacket / white coat / black button up coat / bubblegum coat / gray vest / snowflake socks / blush gloves / gray slouchy hat (under $20!) / plaid scarf

For us folks who live in a freezing tundra for 4-5 months of the year (let's just say it's only going to be 4 this month!) this is the gift guide for you! Maybe you want to add some of these gift ideas to YOUR list, or maybe you want to get them for loved ones. Because really, what's more loving than giving the gift of warming someone's heart? Literally.

I love stuffing socks, hats, and scarves into stockings. I gave my mom a pair of socks in her stocking last year (and even got myself the same pair) and she loves them. She asked for another pair this year. Ask and you shall receive! The above socks are under $17 and are usually discounted 30%. It's the same pair I got last year and was SUPER happy with them. This snowflake print is just a different pattern...so adorable. Mom, if you're reading this, consider one of your surprises spoiled ;)

A good winter coat is a must. I have 3 and somedays I feel like that's not even enough! In freezing weather, your coat becomes THE outfit, so invest in one you love! This one is on my list. So is this gray puffy jacket. It says it's supposed to keep me warm in 35 degree weather, so that sounds promising!

Also essential are these gloves that allow you to use your phone while you're wearing them. I have this exact pair, and let me tell you, I'm really not sure what I'd do without them. Seriously worth every penny!

Gift Guide: Etsy Finds

DETAILS | Lip Gloss / Gray Floral Pillow / Blanket Ladder / Jewel Soap / Antler Photograph / Himmeli Fig Wall Sconce / Enjoy the Little Things sign / It Is Well With My Soul dish towel / Peace on Earth print

I'm sure you aren't new to Etsy; in fact, I'm sure most of you have made a few purchased from Etsy in the past few years. I adore supporting local, handmade, and small shops when I can, so I frequent Etsy both for me and my design clients. Today I've rounded up a few of my favorite items that would make fun gifts for the holidays.

Please do share what YOUR favorite Etsy shops are so I can put them on my favorites! And check back next week with all these shops, as I'm guessing many of them will be participating in Black Friday :)

My Thanksgiving Tablescape

I'm finally getting around to sharing my fall / Thanksgiving table with you! I'm not hosting Thanksgiving (I only have room for two, ha!) but if I was, this is how I would set it up with limited space to work with. As an apartment dweller, it can be tough to entertain (especially if you have a 36" table like me!) but it's not impossible. So here are my ideas coming to you in partnership with the Grand Rapids West Elm store. I had so much fun picking these items out to show you how I would set my table!

Add a pretty runner to dress it up. I love the boarder on this one. Layer plates to create a bit of a more formal look. Adding a patterned plate on the top is a great way to make it more festive!

Finding unique candlesticks, vases, flatware, napkins, and glassware are all ways you can dress it up and make your table memorable. Because I have such a small, round table, I decided to gather the napkin, tie it with ribbon and place it at the top of the place setting or on top of the plate directly. This is a big space saver!

For the flowers, I just picked up a few loose blooms from the local flower shop. I found carnations (which usually aren't my favorite, but they really did look okay!), a few roses, alstroemeria, and a big hydrangea.

Mixing and matching your glassware is fun! I paired these pink goblets with my gold-rimmed highballs I found at Anthro a few years ago on sale.

On my buffet I just place a mercury glass pumpkin and hung a sweet, textured garland.

That does it!
DETAILS | Table: custom made / chairs / runner (sale) / dishes- similar / eat up plate (sale) / flatware (sale) / napkins / ribbon

Have you come up with your table design yet? If you're in a small space, how do you accommodate all your guests? Check out my favorite place card ideas from the other day for more inspiration.

Happy Thursday!
